I shot a couple more test rolls of 35mm film recently. Soon I’ll be ready to dive into a project on film.
Thus far I have been shooting on Fuji Superia 400 (overexposed by one stop) and getting the negatives processed and scanned to CD at Walgreen’s. Okay enough for now.
Last week I ventured out to visit two art spaces: the Parlour Room for Marty Burns’ “Beer Budget Supernova” (above), and MOCAD for the opening of “Joshua White and Gary Panter’s Light Show.”
Lately I’ve been exploring the recipes in Isa Chandra Moskowitz’s Vegan Brunch book. A couple of weekends ago I made the Tofu Omelettes, and though I had the wrong tofu (firm) and no black salt, they turned out well. I folded in vegan cheddar cheese, tomato slices, and avocado. Accompanying the omelettes were the book’s Cocoa Raspberry Muffins, which were excellent.

I sew, I draw, I take photographs. I design and build clean and friendly websites for small businesses and non-profits. I have worked as a web designer & developer, project manager, photographer, pseudo-librarian, and stitch maker.
By day I am a full-time web developer at a community college, and by night I do freelance web, illustration, and photography work for local clients; sew, run & read; and work on many of the projects seen here. I ran my own business making clothing for four years. Twice a year I help organize the Shadow Art Fair, an art event in Ypsi. I am featured in the book, Handmade Nation. Sometimes I make stuffed severed unicorn heads and monster costumes.
